About Festival

Sacz Jazz Festival is beginning its fifth year of existence on the jazz map of Poland. Our mission from the beginning of the festival has been to create the first cyclical jazz event of the highest level in the Sącz region. We are still searching for the perfect formula, trying to reach all jazz fans in our region and promoting different types and faces of this musical genre.

Polish jazz, which has long been widely appreciated around the world, has thus found a new stage in the Poprad Valley. So far, only Polish musicians - well-known and respected in the jazz community - have played with us, but this year, in connection with the 5th edition of the festival, we are opening the doors wider and inviting jazzmen from abroad as well.

Inaugurating the fifth edition of the Sacz Jazz Festival, we can proudly say that we have succeeded, and the pioneering mission seems to have succeeded, because in addition to the successful development of our own idea, we are inspiring others to similar jazz activities. In nearby Limanowa, the September Beskid Jazz & Folk Festival has recently been organized, and legendary music event animator Wojtek Kulasa is about to open the Jazz Inn in Stary Sacz - his latest gastronomic and musical project.

Repeating after the outstanding jazz musician Zbigniew Namysłowski - jazz is an incredible opportunity for creative development, freedom, choice of style, a chance to express oneself, joy and satisfaction. And autumn and the undeniable charm of Stary Sacz allow us to build an unforgettable atmosphere.
