About Festival

Sącz Jazz Festival is entering its lucky seventh year on the jazz map of Poland. From the beginning, our mission has been to create the first recurring, top-quality jazz event in the Sądecczyzna region. We continue searching for the perfect formula, striving to reach all jazz lovers in our area while showcasing the many faces and styles of this rich genre.

Polish jazz—long admired around the world—has found a new stage in the Poprad Valley. So far, our lineup has featured mainly acclaimed Polish musicians. But this year, to mark the 7th edition, we’re opening our doors even wider, welcoming international bands and ensembles featuring foreign jazz artists.

As we inaugurate this seventh edition, we’re going all in—this will be the festival of our dreams! With your support, we hope to make this a breakthrough year and take our place among the elite jazz festivals in Poland.

Although Sącz Jazz Festival was originally envisioned as a platform connecting the jazz scenes of both Stary and Nowy Sącz, that ambition has yet to fully come to life. Still, we remain hopeful it may one day be fulfilled. For now, Stary Sącz will enjoy an exceptional November, guaranteed by the program and the remarkable talent and charisma of our guests.

To quote the late, great jazz musician Zbigniew Namysłowski: Jazz is an extraordinary opportunity for creative growth, freedom, personal expression, joy, and fulfillment. And the charm of autumn in Stary Sącz allows us to create a unique atmosphere for Sącz Jazz Festival—and to dream boldly about its future.
